Logline: A string of traumatic experiences force a young woman to shift her perception of reality and confront the ghosts of the past while being stalked by dark forces.

Hailey Williams – Leading Role – 22-30 Year-Old Female – Paid
Description: Hailey Williams is a young newlywed (22-30 years old) who has been waiting for her husband Johnny to come home from a tour of duty overseas. They are a happy young couple who are eager to start a family. She has a strong relationship with her mother, and lives in the house that she grew up in. She has a strong sense of home, family, and rootedness. The actress for this role will need to have a broad acting range and need to be able to convey happiness, sadness, grief, despair, desperation, depression, fear, etc.

Johnny Williams – Supporting Role – 25-30 Year-Old Male – Paid
Description: Johnny Williams is a young newlywed (25-30 years old) who has just come back to his hometown to be with his newlywed wife Hailey after being overseas with the military. He has some trouble adjusting to civilian life. He is happy with his relationship with Hailey and is anxious to start a big family with her because he came from a broken family that he is mostly alienated from. Johnny is a formidable guy and never backs down from a fight.

Debbie (Hailey’s Mom) – Supporting Role – 45-55 Year-Old Female – Unpaid
Description: Debbie (Hailey’s Mom) is a very good mother and daughter. She is out of state taking care of her mom (Hailey’s grandma) who is very sick. She and Hailey talk every day. She’s really excited for Hailey and Johnny to have kids and raise them in the home that was passed down to them.

Description: Father Harris is a very pious Catholic priest who wants to be helpful, but also recognizes the corruption in the church.

Brian (The Journalist) – Supporting Role – 25+ Year-Old Male – Unpaid
Description: Brian is an urbane, effete, seemingly compassionate, and charming journalist who works for an internationally syndicated news outlet. He tries to befriend Hailey, but his motives are suspect.

Description: We need somebody who can do a convincing voice of a NCO giving the commands for a three-volley salute at a military funeral. Preferably somebody with military experience.

Description: We need several actors from various western nationalities and varying ages and genders who can do a convincing newscaster voice in their native accent/language.
Find a news story from your native country (and in your native language) that is a typical example of gaslighting by the mainstream media such as when they use coded language (“teens”, “joggers”, “party-goers”, etc.) to describe suspects in a violent incident. Please come to your audition prepared to perform the newscaster’s dialogue from the news story.

There are moments in the film when clips from tv shows, movies, music videos, magazine articles, internet videos, etc. will be shown. There is an opportunity for other filmmakers/content creators to create content that will be featured in the movie.
